Become a Docent

If you love the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, please consider volunteering your time to teach others about history, ecology, birds and other amazing facts of this beautiful and unique coastal ecosystem. Amigos de Bolsa Chica's docents lead groups of all ages on Saturday public tours, and they lead groups of students from classrooms all over Southern California on privately scheduled wetland tours. The knowledge and experience of Amigos de Bolsa Chica docents has been known to change the lives of many tour-goers.

Becoming a docent means you make a difference, meet new people, use your skills, help others, and connect with your community. Becoming a docent means you will learn all details about the history, birds, endangered species, ecology, plants, and the restoration of Bolsa Chica so you can lead tours of the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve with confidence!
